It’s been a long time coming, but projection is slowly making its way out of the single, flat rectangle that so often constrains it. (Not that we don’t love single, flat rectangles, of course.) The idea itself isn’t new, but artists are becoming increasingly interested in creating sculptural, three-dimensional projections. We saw Joanie Lemercier’s gorgeous Light Sculptures. I'd like to see more of this type of work here. It would be great to feature the technical side of this, although my guess is that these artists aren't going to share that. Its beautiful thinking.
Actually, I would guess many artists would gladly share … usually, the problem is that they just don't have time to document what they've done!
I'm equally impressed it made it to Gizmodo, which rarely does art-y stuff.

I just don’t get where the “How to Make(…)” fits in the whole actlrie! Is this purposefully misleading or was it meant to be a how-to, tutorial or demonstration of techniques and/or tools needed to make a Projection on Volume?
